The sketch for this card is from Simon Says Stamp Challenge
and the gorgeous colors are from The Play Date Cafe
mix them together and you get
Ta-Da!!
I wanted to try and keep it simple so the colors could be the focus. I started by cross stitching the background with a pale grey thread. I use a template to get the lines correct.
Next I rubbed tumbled glass onto some white card stock and stamped Hero Arts Blooming Meadow CG171 in broken china on top of it.
For the butterfly I had this brownish grey vellum in my stash so I stamped Hero Arts Butterflies CG130 on it with versamark, then heat embossed with white. I colored parts of it with a light blue marker and a silver gelly roller.
I layered the main image on gry and then kraft. Before I adhered everything together I took more pale grey embroidery floss wrapped it around the white base and tied a bow over a little blue button.
After everything was adhered I added some glossy accents to the middle of the flowers for some extra shine.
Thanks for visiting and happy crafting!!
