New Hero Arts

Happy happy Friday to those of you ending your work week.
Friday is almost never happy for me since Saturday is the start of my work week.
This week is different, I am off this weekend so happy, happy Friday!!

Today is a card using a new Hero Arts Stamp Flower Swirl Vine
I have never made a shape card so I thought why not give it a try? Turns out, super easy and cute!
I cut out the card base using the biggest die of nesties Labels 8, cut two pieces. I inked both pieces with walnut stain and stamped the Friend Definition (Hero Arts) on the front piece, also in walnut stain. To create the actual base you'll need to score the back piece so that the top portion folds back. I scored mine at a little over a half inch. Apply a strong glue and adhered your top piece, make sure to line them up :)

I created the flowered panel by going two nesties sizes in and cutting it out of white card stock. I then stamped (Jet Black Archival ink, Ranger) the flower vine in various ways filling up the panel. I colored only the flowers with 3 different orangish/yellows (good descriptor right?) I didn't color the leaves because I wanted the flowers to really stand out. Once my coloring was done I rubbed on some walnut stain to just the edges. To create the mat I traced around the nestie, cut it out, then to color it I used the darkest color yellow and my water brush. Glue the panel onto it's mat.

I wrapped some brown floss around the panel and made the loopy bow with my bow easy. I use glossy accents to adhere them.

I adhered the image panel with foam and added some rhinestone for sparkle :)
