Song Bird Birthday

Good Afternoon :)

I'm on an afternoon schedule at work until next Monday so I'll be posting before I go. Such a change since normally I post at 3am, he he. I so love my night shift schedule, ah well I'll be back there soon enough!

Today's card was done using Wee Memories Sketch. I love all the different challenges Jenny comes up with, such a creative lady. This is the sketch

I used Prima Papers from the Breathe Collection. Once I picked out my papers I stamped the bird (Unity, Could I be any Cuter) 3 times, on pink, on yellow, and on white which I then colored in with broken china.
I cut all my pieces down to size and punched the scallop border (EK Success) on two of them. I inked all the edges with brushed corduroy before adhering them to the kraft card base.

Once everything except the bird was blued down I drew in some white dashed lines and little polka dots with my enamel accents (Inkessentials, white)

For the little song bird I stamped it two more times once to a piece of white and once to my actual card. I know it sounds scary putting it all together and then stamping on it but I needed the little details (legs, music notes etc.) that I couldn't cut out. The bird I stamped on the white is where I did my paper piecing, then I cut it out as a whole and adhered it with foam over the bird on the card base. I added stardust stickles the the wings.

For the top embellishments I wrapped some string around around and then threaded a brown button (Basic Grey) with the same bright blue. The tag was stamped on white, colored with antique linen, and edged in brushed corduroy. The sentiment is from Hero Arts.
