This card is for Embellish Magazine Color Trends challenge. I love these colors together but the "challenge" part was a masculine card eeek! I don't know about you all but I really struggle with guy cards. So don't judge me too harshly :) Here are the colors
and my card (I apologize for the not so hot photography)
When I saw the colors they just screamed modern to me. So I started thinking about what could inspire me . . . insert teenage nephews. My Nephews are both huge brand name geeks and they love Aerpostale. More importantly they love the graphic tee's from that store. The paint splattered distressed look is so in for them and thankfully I've shopped for them :)
I started with three colors of paint and a white card base. I used a small sponge brush to paint the blue and green. Then I used an even smaller brush for the red.
Once it was completely dry I added a rub on from Creative Imaginations Rock Star swatch book. I also rubbed on 3 stars in the bottom left corner from the same book.
Pretty simple card but then again most guy cards are!
Great card!! tfs!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that you used paint on the card. This card would be so perfect for a teenager. Good job! Thank you so much for playing along in the Embellish Challenge.
