I absolutely love these colors! These colors really remind you that Spring is right around the corner :) and since we are supposed to get 6 -10 inches of snow tonight I really needed some spring!
I am also entering this card into Hero Arts monthly contest. The theme this month is Birthday Wishes.
I started by stamping the polka dot background (Oriental Trading, fruit salad) in versamark and heat embossing with white. I rubbed on tumbled glass over the entire background panel.
I stamped my flowers (Hero Arts, flower blossom)once on the card for placement and once on a scrap piece. I did this for all four flowers. I colored the leaves on my panel with my H20 pen and shabby shutters. I quickly colored the flowers stamped on my scrap pieces with spun sugar, worn lipstick, scattered straw, and broken china then cut them all out.
For my sentiment I used my nesties Labels 4 to create the frame for my sentiment. i cut the first one directly out of the panel. For the "frame" I cut the same size out of a scrap piece, colored the negative with broken china, I then lined the die back up on the negative piece and traced around the outer border. I cut it out by hand.
I lined up the polka dot piece on my white card base and traced around the cut out. I then stamped the sentiment (Hero Arts, all occasion messages) in jet black archival ink (Ranger)
I adhered the polka dot panel to the base using foam. I used more foam to attach my flowers. I added rhinestones and stardust stickles for some shine.
Thanks for coming over and having a look!
This is a great CAS design - love that cutout frame. Thanks for playing along at OTWC.
