Operation Write Home Bunny Hop

Good Morning! I'm sure you have been having a so much fun scoping out all the inspiration along this hop. You should have come here from Jennifer's blog Makeup & Markers (How cute is that match book card, adorable), if not you can start at the beginning at the OWH Stars & Stamps blog.
Before we get to the card just a few reminders. The Easter deadline is March 18th and the Mother's day deadline is March 31st. Also did you know that you can further help out the wonderful mailers at OWH by getting a Operation Write Stamp for the back of your cards? One of them is even free!! Check it out here.

I decided to make two cards for today's hop. The first one is a cute simple Easter card.

I cut white card stock to an A2 size card and scored the front of it every 1/4 inch. It looks like beadboard to me and it's a super simply way to add texture! I stamped the bunny (Stampendous, Blockart Bunny) and the banner (Prickly Pear, Hot Air Balloons) on a separate piece of white card stock. I colored them in with my H20 pen and distress ink. I used black soot, spun sugar, tumbled glass, shabby shutters, and scattered straw. Cut them out and attached with pop dots. I added stickles for a little shine to the eggs and them encapsulated it in glossy accents so there is zero chance it will rub off.

This one is just a cheery spring card! I used this sketch from Cardabilities challenge and chose my colors from a challenge The wonderful Kathy, Deborah, and Vicky are doing. The colors were Copic Y38, YR68, B12, and YG03. I didn't have the copics so I used distress ink in similar colors.

I cut the card base to A2 size. I stamped the flowers (Stampendous, Daisy trio) on a separate piece of white and colored in using scattered straw, wild honey, and shabby shutters. I cut it out using my cutterbee. I cut a piece of white to 1 1/2 x 5 1/2. I rubbed some tumbled glass and then stamped (Stampendous, Petals Nouveau) in broken china. I cut another piece of white 1 x 5 1/2 and stamped the small polka dots (Oriental Trading, Fruit Salad) in versa mark and heat embossed in white. I colored the strip with shabby shutters and punched (EK Success) the scallop border. For the circles I used nesties circles and scallop circles both in small then colored them with scattered straw. I inked all the edges in black soot. The sentiment is from Unity's Could I be an cuter. I adhered everything flat except for the flowers, I added that with foam. A little glossy accents in the flower centers and done :)

Thanks for visiting and supporting OWH. Your next stop is Leslierahye

Okay if you made it this long God Bless You!! I know it's a long hop but as a reward I'm doing a giveaway!!! and I'm going to let you pick :)

I'm going to give one random commenter either a surprise pack filled with stamps, embellishments . .etc. or a $10.00 gift certificate to I {heart} Papers. Be sure to let me know in your comment which you would rather have!

Happy hopping!!!

  23. Lovely cards! I love the fact that you made them A2 size --- that's what I try to stick with, but it sometimes limits you (or rather limits the amount of stuff you can stick to the card LOL!) Also like the way you added texture to the first card. If I am the lucky winner, I'd love to have a random package of goodies, chosen by you! Have a great weekend!

  24. I enjoyed looking at both of your cards but my favorite is the flowers. I do enjoy surprises, so if I was to win I would choose the surprise pack.
