Happy St. Patrick's Day!
It's gorgeous here in Ohio! Yay Spring!! I have to enjoy it while it's here because it could be snowing tomorrow :)
Today I am entering a few fun challenges. The first is There She Goes Stamps Sketch. During the OWH Bunny hop I won a set of There She Goes clear stamps (woo hoo) not only am I excited because I won free stamps but they are a great quality. I was pleasantly surprised by what I a little treasure I won. I have never used any of their stamps so I am playing along with them for the first time. Here is the sketch
Next I am entering into Wee Memories "Spring is near, Green is here" We could choose between a Spring card or a green card. This is my Spring card.
Lastly I am playing along with Joanne's Blogaversary. We had to choose 3 things off the list to make our card. I chose Kraft, Pink, Ivory, Orange color combo, and mixed stitching.
Finally here is the card :)
I started by stamping the window (All stamps are There She Goes unless otherwise noted) on white, pink, and orange. I paper pieced the curtains and decorative window pieces. I stamped the flowers on white and colored them in using markers (Whispers strokes) For the planter I used a silver metallic gel pen. I cut all my pieces out.
I cut a pink polka dot piece to 1 3/4 x 4 1/4. I cut my orange piece to 1 x 4 1/4, then punched it (EK Success). I cut two pieces of craft one to 3 1/2 x 4 and the second to 1 x 4 1/4. The second piece I used a border punch (EK success).
Now for the sewing :) I don't have a sewing machine so I do it all using a template, paper piercer, needle, and thread. I also glue everything before I start. I punched 3 circles from the orange and sewed them on using a cross stitch. To border my Large kraft piece I used a straight stitch. Finally to adhere my pink polka dots and kraft border punch a zig zag stitch.
I glued all my paper strips, kraft panel, and window down flat. I popped the flowers up on foam.
For the sentiment I stamped the banner (Prickley Pear) on white and then fussy cut. The little bird was stamped on orange polka dot but then rubbed with wild honey to make it more solid.
Of course I added stardust stickles to the flowers and was done :)
Thanks for visiting, now I'm going out to enjoy this beautiful weather!!
