Hello all!
I'm back from my crafting hiatus. Unfortunately, my hiatus was pushed on me by hours at work due to a co-worker going out sick at the same time another was on vacation. I just keep thinking about the paycheck :)
Today I created a card for Young Crafters Unite Challenge. This month's challenge was to create a clear card or a card with a clear element. I do not currently have any acetate in my supplies. I looked high and low around town for it and much to my despair I could not find anyone who sold it. So I used a clear element.
I apologize for the less than stellar photo. It is very difficult to avoid the glare when photographing the clear pieces.
I stamped the flowers (Hero Arts, Daisies) on plain white card stock then colored with my marvy markers. Once colored I traced my Tim Holtz Fragments to figure out where I needed to cut. I adhered the fragments with glossy accents right on top of the colored flowers then trimmed them out. The sentiment (Hero Arts, You & Me) is stamped in jet black archival ink (Ranger). Once the fragments were trimmed I adhered them using more glossy accents.
I'm actually pretty happy with how this turned out. I'm also grateful for the challenge, I've had these in my stash for well over a year and had never used them :)
Hope you're having a wonderful Thursday!
Cute card and great use for fragments! Good job!
