Less is More with the Tuesday Trigger

Good Morning!

I'm popping in with a card for two challenges today. The first is Less is More, a style very dear to my heart :) The challenge is to create a one layer card with script. The second is the always inspirational Tuesday Trigger from Moxie Fab. Here is the inspiration photo

I really loved the little pop of pink in the tulips among all the neutrals. Mine is more than a little pop though :)

I stamped the poppies (Hero Arts, Delicate Blossoms) onto white card stock with tuxedo black (Memento) ink. I didn't bother masking before I stamped the script because I knew the marvy markers would cover it right up. I stamped the script (Hero Arts, Old French Writing) with soft sand ink after I blotted off random areas. I colored the flower with only one color of pink and my blender pen to lighten up the edges. The sentiment(Hero Arts, Live & Laugh) is stamped with jet black archival ink (Ranger). I find this ink better to stamp sentiments with. The memento always seems a little messy to me.

Thanks for visiting, hope you have a wonderful weekend :)

  1. Lovely card, I'm a sucker for poppies.

  2. Beautiful poppies..I love that you didn't mask the poppies. I think a bit of the script coming through would be beautiful.

  3. Love the poppies and the glitter in the centre!

  4. Terrific card, those poppies work so well with the script
    Thank you very much
