Hello hello!
Just popping in real quick before work :) I always seem to miss these challenges because a Tuesday deadline is difficult with my work schedule. However if I plan it right and start crafting early I can play along with the ones I love! So for the first time in a long time I am playing along with The Play Date Cafe The challenge this week is a color splash
and my take
I really struggled with the splash of brown so after a few different tries I decided to go back to what I love. CAS design and flowers :)
I stamped kraft card stock with the musical background (Hero Arts) using white ink (Hero Arts, Chalk ink). Then I stamped the flower on top (Hero Arts, Etched Flower). I stamped the flower a second time on white, trimmed it out and adhered. I layered the kraft panel onto black then onto the white card base.
I added the sentiment with a bit of masking so it fit better. Some stickles and pearls finished her off!
I think it's a different take on black, white, and brown. It's kind of soft and pretty. What do you think?
Wow, not only do I love your colors but I LOVE what you did with those stamps. Great example.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card - love the color challenge!
ReplyDeleteThe trimmed-out flower looks so perfect I thought you had masked it. Beautiful! Thanks for playing along at The Play Date Cafe. :)
