Play Date Wishes

Well I survived my Easter eating, did you? So much good stuff!

First things first There is a new challenge in town! Have you seen A Blog Named Hero?! They are a challenge that focuses on Hero Arts Stamps . . .um, Yes Please! I love me some Hero Arts so I'm super excited :)
I carved out sometime last night to get in on the Play Date Cafe challenge this week :) This is a huge accomplishment since I usually miss the deadline due to my work schedule. It's the small celebrations right?!

So these colors are just GORGEOUS!

I am so digging the gray lately,  I made it the star of the show!

I started with a white card base that I stamped my doily pattern on (Hero Arts, Starburst Lace). I used London Fog by Memento, love this color!

Next I cut a plain white circle (nestibilities) but I knew I wanted some sort of border on it. Unfortunately in all my stamp stash I have ZERO circle borders. So I just made one :) I stamped the smallest heart from Hero Arts Year Round Sentiments around the border for a faux scallop. To add just a little something else I outlined the scallop with a black sharpie marker. I colored the scallops in gray.

The flowers (Hero Arts, Daisies) were stamped, colored with broken china/evergreen bough, and trimmed out. To create my smaller leaves I stamped the smallest leaf from Hero Arts Three Leaves set then cut 3 smaller leaves out of each one. I colored these with crushed olive.

I adhered the circle flat to my card then added the flowers and leaves. I only added adhesive to the middles so they would still have movement. The white center was created using enamel accents (Ranger). The sentiment (Hero Arts, Everyday Sayings) was stamped in black. Then finish I rounded one corner.

I love the way this card turned out . . . .and not one glimmer of stickles, Shocking! :)

Hope your start to the week is a great one!
