Hi guys!
Hope your week is going well. Todauy is my first day off and I spent most of it in bed :( I have no idea why I was so sleepy but I guess I needed it! I did manage to get in the craft room to play along with CAS-ual Fridays today. The challenge is Name That Tune, how fun is this right?!
I kept thinking of all these different songs I could use but I actually went with one my sister suggested :)
Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler. I jam to this when I'm driving lol
I first stamped masked my rectangle then stamped the chevron pattern (Hero Arts, Zig Zag) in rosebud (Memento. Next I boxed it using a marker and my ruler.
The heart was a die cut I covered with 1/4in strips to create my "eclipse". I colored each strip with black soot distress ink using various pressures to get the color gradation. I cut the shadow for my die cut in pink and added stardust stickles. If you have ever looked at photos of an eclipse the moon looks like it's glowing because of the sun behind it.
I cut the different size banners and layered them on my card base before adding my heart with dimensional adhesive. For the sentiment (Hero Arts, Year Round Sentiments) I masked off the I and the you. To balance it all I rounded the top right corner.
Thanks for stopping over :)
This is brilliant! I love your eclipse and the pink just makes it pop! Awesome!
