Here is the Inspiration photo
I really loved how the pattern was all up top. Since I tend to put my pattern on the bottom portion of my cards I decided to seize the opportunity to do something different.
Speaking of being different that pattern was stamped with a snowflake stamp LOL. I didn't have a medallion stamp and as I was sorting through I discovered that ribbon snowflake in Hero Arts Decorate Your Holidays set. I stamped the pattern using Soft Sand Shadow ink and Latte Chalk ink.
It's hard to see in the photo but the little buckle was coated in clear embossing powder so it has a gorgeous shine. I did three coats to make sure I had really good coverage. The thank you stamps is from Year Round Sentiments.
Very different and very simple card today. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out even though it's not my usually style. That's the fun of challenges for me, pushing my creativity :)
Thanks for coming by!!

This is beautiful, Kelly! How genius of you to use a snowflake stamp.. it looks awesome! Great interpretation of the challenge. :)
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I did one too and it was way out of the comfort zone! I love your snowflake stamp and your buckle. Terrific elements on your card.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cute card Kelly! Love your take on the photo :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I love this Kelly. Your interpretation of the sketch is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteLove the pattern you created with the snowflake stamp! And I bet the buckle is just fabulous in real life. Some of those shiny elements are so difficult to capture with a camera.

So pretty! I love that you put the pattern on the top of the card, like in the photo. And it was very smart of you to balance that out with more of the solid on the bottom. Thanks so much for joining us on the Runway!
