Just popping in this morning with a card . . .for no good reason at all :) It's nice when you're between commitments and have the time just to play it, makes me happy .
I started by stamped all my pieces parts of different colored papers. Once I had them trimmed out I stamped them with various Hero Arts background stamps. The flower was the only thing I stamped that wasn't tone on tone. To add some texture I did a simple cross stitch across the top and bottom of my sentiment panel. I really wanted the happy to stand out so I masked in order to make it pink :)
So some side notes, I tried photographing the card at an angle because I've seen others do it and I totally love it. What do you think, straight on or at an angle?
I'm also jumping on the inlinkz band wagon, hopefully it will be easier than listing EVERY. SINGLE. THING. I use :) *okay so I'm not trying it today because it won't work :( *
Thanks for stopping in, wishing you a happy day!

Very Beautiful!!Great job on the Stitching..thats my favorite!!TFS
ReplyDeleteThis is gogrgeous!I love how you brought attention to the sentiment, and all the subtle patterns is a really cool touch. Most definitely a 'happy' card! :)
ReplyDeleteSuch cheerful colors and fun sentiment! So funny about the angle - I seem to show one shot straight on, and one shot at an angle. You would think I was taking mug shots of my cards! Once you get going with inlinkz you'll love it.
ReplyDeleteKelly, you use colors so beautifully! I love this card - your stitching is such a wonderful touch! (Definitely at an angle.)
ReplyDeleteLove these happy colors and the stitching is the perfect touch! And the angled photo looks great! I struggle with my card photos.... I do think that angled photos usually look better, but I feel like MY photos always look weird at an angle. I think it just depends on the card. :)
