Hello!
We have a new challenge over at A Blog Named Hero and it's one I truly love <3This challenge invites you to be inspired by a Hero Arts Artist! I mean, come on, those girls are so talented I'm inspired by them EVERY DAY! Added bonus you can win a gift card to Simon Says Stamp to get yourself lots of goodies, who doesn't want goodies?!
For my card I chose to be inspired by Hero Arts Artist . . . .Tami Hartley! I love that Tami's cards are mostly CAS but usually include some inky fun. Several of Tami's cards also have a clean white border, which I adore.
Are you ready?! Here it is!
I started by trimming glossy card stock to the size that I wanted. I then stamped in versamark ink. Once the versamark was dry I rubbed peacock feathers directly to the paper from the pad to create a traditional resist. After I buffed off the excess ink I die cut the right side using butterfly delights die. I mounted the glossy panel with dimensional adhesive on a slight bigger piece of card stock that I colored with ripe persimmon (again pad direct to paper). I wanted the butterflies to show through white so I added a strip of white to my orange paper before adhering the glossy panel. (Man, I hope that makes sense!)
I stamped the butterfly and fussy cut it out. I colored it using ripe persimmon and my inking tool, concentrating the color on the edges. I adhered only the body to give the wings movement. My sentiment was stamped and trimmed into a banner. Once the panels were adhered to my card base I added three orange pearls and stardust stickles. You KNOW I need some stickles :)
I hope you'll join in on all the fun! You can head over to the A Blog Named Hero blog to get all the details and see what the other talented DT girls created :)
I'm so excited to see how you are inspired!
