OWH Sketch

Good Morning Crafters!

Today I'm sharing some sample cards I created for Operation Write Home. If you aren't familiar please head over to their website for all the details. It is such a wonderful cause! So are you excited to see the sketch?!

Hero Arts paired up with Operation Write Home to create some adorable stamp sets. I happen to own all three of them so once I received the sketch I immediately reached for them :) I finally decided on Right at Home.

For this card I created a card base using a pretty light blue. I stamped the clouds and trimmed them out. For a fun pop of color I stamped them with the wood grain stamp from my happy in Rosebud, Bahamma Ble and Pear Tart from Memento. After I created my banner and adhered it flat I added the "framed" blue square. The clouds were adhered with dimensional adhesive. No stardust stickles this time, I want to keep our troops safe!

For this one I took some liberty with the sketch hehe! I stamped the clouds in soft pool ink from Hero Arts on a white card base. I stamped the house with the fence by doing a little masking. I colored it with copics them trimmed it out. I stamped the YOU in the sentiment with punch chalk ink to really make it stand out. I also added glossy accents to the heart, windows, and door. The house was added with dimensional adhesive.

I did want to share a little trick with you :) I didn't have card stock to match my clouds so I just colored white with my copic :) I do this ALL the time for little strips of paper so I have a perfect match. If it's a bigger piece I'll just rub my ink pad direct to the paper. Instant Matching Paper!!

Thanks for stopping by! I do hope you head over to Operation Write Home Stars and Stamps Blog to link up your interpretation of the sketch :)
