A Blog Named Hero: Second Chances

Hello crafters! It's time for another challenge over at A Blog Named Hero and it's one we can all get in on.

Second Chances! i.e. redoing an old project you weren't happy with.

I have tons and tons of these :) Ready? Let's get to it!

This is my original card. I really love the rays behind it. Anything that has to do with hearts I {heart} ha! so I wanted to keep those too. I wasn't a big fan of the colors or how empty it was at the bottom.

The first thing I did was change the colors to something I love. Red/pool/and white is a favorite of mine. I used the Memory box die Hearts Delight to incorporate the hearts as well as create rays. I adhered that panel with dimensional adhesive to my card base which was covered in red.

I  paper pieced my cloud my the stripes from Echo Park's Dots and Stripes. In order to balance the card a little I added a strip of the blue on each side of the card base. To fill in the empty areas I drew in some pen line rays with a ruler. Lastly to add some more interest to the bottom I stamped my sentiment in Punch chalk ink onto a banner.

I much prefer my redo to my original. Do you?
You can see what all the other talented ladies on the DT made by heading over to A Blog Named Hero, you can also enter yourself and maybe win

Can't wait to see what you "Redo!"
