Long time no talk right?!
I really do miss you guys and I really miss being crafty too but I have a good reason for being gone.
Among all the other things that were going on during my emotional roller coaster week we also find out I'm pregnant. This is our first child and while it's exciting and joyful it's also tired and nauseous, and completely NOT crafty.
I'm hoping now that I'm nearing the end my first trimester I'll get some energy and creativity back soon. :)
I did manage to get together some cards for Operation Write Home using a sketch they sent me and that is what I'm here to share today. It felt really good to make something again even if it did take me twice as long as usual ha!
Here is the sketch
I did three cards using the same sketch and the same Hero Arts Stamp; Leaf and Flower Background.
For this card I did a emboss resit using peeled paint, mustard seed, and spiced marmalade distress ink.
I inked the background panel with scattered straw, mustard seed, and wild honey then stamped the background over top with water. It's a super subtle effect.
Last I flipped the sketch and used the flowers to create the long line. The background stamp was used to create a border with some masking.
Thanks for stopping by to visit! Don't forget to head over to OWH and enter your take on the sketch. I hope you found something to inspire you and I'm really hoping to be back soon! :)
