Good Morning!
So before I jump into the card I have to share today I just want to take a minute to say thank you. After having been MIA for basically the past 5 months you guys have welcomed me back with such warmth and I just love you for it :) This really is one of the best hobbies ever if only for the lovely people you meet along the way <3
Another bit of news I'd love to share remember the card that broke me out of my slump? Well the wonderful people over at The Playdate Cafe chose that card as the "Cup of the Week" Can you believe it?! Me either!! I was just so excited to be playing again, let alone win .. . .yay!! Simon Says Stamp here I come :)
Okay today I have some Hero Arts/Distress Ink goodness for you
I super love the ghostly image you get from what Shari Carroll named "Velveteen Stamping" Basically you stamp with white ink onto your paper first. Once it dries you can either stamp on top of it with a more solid stamp or rub ink right on top. This creates a ghost resist that is super cool.
I stamped the carbonated background in white on white card stock Once it was dry I colored the paper with peacock feathers, salty ocean, and picked raspberry. I used my hexagon die from MFT to cut the background. After I adhered them in the pattern I wanted I rounded all four corners of mt card base. Last I stamped my sentiment and colored it using a hot pink marker.
What's missing you ask? THE STICKLES!!! It felt like it was interesting enough with the resist and brights colors so I left off the glitter. I'm sure I'll be going through withdrawals any minute ha!
Tomorrow or maybe the next day I'll be sharing another hexagon card I made. I was enabled inspired by the fabulous Jess Larsen to break down and get some alcohol inks. Can you say super fun?!
Thanks for dropping in, See you soon!

GORGEOUS!!!!!!
