A Get Well Soon Card

 Hello!

As promised I'm back to share my card for this week's Play Date Cafe colors.

I think my colors are bolder than the graphic, I'm hoping that's okay :)
Even if it's not I created this card with a specific person in mind. My Aunt "Cookie" was in a car accident yesterday. Thankfully she walked away but she does have whiplash and some bruising. I'm hoping this card brightens her day!

I stamped Hero Arts Classic Bloom in Soft Blossom and Soft Apricot. The leaves were stamped in Stone Wash which is one of their midtones. I just love the looks you can create with masking :)

One I had them stamped I went back in first with a H20 pen and the ink pad to color in the flower middle. I just wipe the pad on my craft sheet and pick up what I need. To add a bit more color I shaded with Angel Pink and Cantaloupe Memento Markers. Last the middles were dotted with stardust stickles.

I stamped the sentiment in Stone Wash  then used Chipped Sapphire distress ink to color to small pieces for my border. Once the flower panels were trimmed to size I adhered them with dimensional adhesive.

Thanks for stopping by :) I'm off to watch the season finale of New Girl with the hubs!

  1. The coloring you added to the centers of the blooms is so pretty, and I love the way you framed the sentiment with the crisp strips of black. I hope your aunt makes a speedy recovery!
