Happy Mother's Day!

 Happy Mother's Day Crafters!

I hope all you Mommy's and Mommy's-to-be are having a wonderful day :) We are just getting ready to go out to dinner with my Momma and Gram but before we left I wanted to pop in with a quick (and simple!) card.

I'm playing along with CAS(E) this Sketch today. I can't believe it's taken me so long to get over there and participate! I love a sketch challenge :)

I decided to make my Gramcracker's card based on the sketch. It matches her wrapping paper :) Yes, I'm one of those people!

I cut two white panels to size for my squares, then rounded their corners. The largest one I covered in double sided tape and rubbed on Glitter Ritz in Warm Highlight. The smaller one I stamped my sentiment on. I used some masking to create the stacked look.

I stamped the roses on a scrap piece of white and colored them with mowed lawn, squeezed lemonade, and mustard seed distress inks. I fussy cut them out and adhered them to my glitter panel. The bloom was adhered with dimensional adhesive, the stems were glued flat. 

I added my sentiment panel with more dimensional adhesive and topped my bouquet off with a baker's twine bow. Of course I couldn't leave the stickles alone so I just added them to the flower centers.

 All the stamps are from Simon Says Stamp's May card kit. It's the first one I've received since I subscribe and I have to say I'm a fan :) I'm excited to see what the June kit holds!
