A Blog named Hero loves WPlus9

  Hello crafters!
This week over at A Blog Named Hero we are making friends with the lovelies at WPlus9.
We are already halfway through the week! I can't believe all the fabulous designs these girls have put together. My gosh, they are awesome!
I love so many of their stamp sets but I always come back to what I truly love. Flowers. :) Glorious flowers.
Today I combined Hero Art's Delicate Blossoms and WPlus9's hope Seed Co. to create a bouquet of flowery goodness.

I stamped and trimmed my flowers out then colored them with all kinds of delicious distress inks!
The poppies were colored with festive berries, fired brick, and aged mahogany. The rose is squeezed lemonade, mustard seed, and wild honey. Lastly and my most favorite is the mum. This was colored with picked raspberry, seedless preserves, and dusty concord.  Oh, oh and the leaves are crushed olive, peeled paint, and forest moss. Come to think of it so is the banner :)

Originally I was going to try to stamp the whole poppy stamp but it didn't make for a very pretty bouquet. Instead I used my peeled paint distress marker and a ruler to create my stems. The banner was die cut using Simon Says Stamp Folded banner Die. Before I colored the banner I heat embossed my sentiment from Hero Arts Year Round Sentiments. I adhered it to my card base with dimensional adhesive.

To finish it off I slapped on some stardust stickles and rounded all 4 corners. I'm doing that a lot lately! Anywho, hope you enjoyed my card today. Now head on over to A Blog Named Hero to check out what the other girls made :)
