Hey crafters!
I'm popping in with a late night, early morning post :)
Remember that stamp hoarding I was talking about last week? Well one of the stamp companies i acquired during my hoard was Paper Smooches. Yes I know it's quite shocking I have not previously purchased any of their adorable stamps!
Well now that I have them I couldn't help but play along with their current challenge.
Here is the inspiration photo
So like the wonderful design team member Jocelyn Olson I had no Paper Smooches butterfly stamps. What is a girl to do? Well, create her own of course!
I only own two Paper Smooches sets as of right now. One is I Heart Art and the Other is Spookalicious. Neither screams butterfly but I think I found a way to make it work.
I started by wiping broken china and iced spruce distress ink on my craft mat. After I sprayed the heck out of it with water I pressed my panel into it to create my cloud like background.
After I dried it I used the triangles (i.e. jack o'lantern eyes) from Spookalicious to create butterfly wings. I stamped them Hero Arts shadow inks, royal red, raspberry jam, and bubblegum. I used a fine pen to draw in their antennas and bodies then used my white gel pen to add some detail.
I rounded all 4 corners and adhered it with dimensional adhesive.
The sentiment is a partial from I Heart Art. I masked it to just use the hello. Add a rhinestone and done!
I'm super happy with my triangle butterflies, ha! Thanks for stopping by :)

These butterflies are so fun! Love your creativity!
