Good Morning crafters!
How was your weekend? Mine was exhausting :( I don't know what's going on but Nathan has been SUUUPER fussy. Thank God he's such a sweet happy man during the day. It makes the evenings a little more bearable!
Onto the card!
I'm playing along with 2 challenges today. The first is the Runway Inspired Challenge and the second is Lawnscaping, their challenge is a monochromatic project.

Okay the RIC is just gorgeous! Who wouldn't love this dress? Immediately I go color scheme and vellum. Just. like. everyone. else! I knew my color scheme was going to be blue with a neutral or two. Enter the Lawnscaping challenge :) Normally I super struggle with monochromatic cards but this one was easy peasy!
My wonderful sister's wedding anniversary is coming up next weekend so I decided to use this opportunity to make her a card (using her wedding colors no less)
I masked off my square and stamped and masked the flowers from Lawn Fawn's Flutterby until the whole square was filled. I colored my flowers using copics. Once I was done coloring I outlined the square with a black marker and ruler. (I'm helpless not to frame things in, it's a sickness).
After that I felt like it needed something else but I wanted to keep it flat. I think there is something about doing all that masking that makes me want to leave them as close to a one layer card as possible. I do not know why :) To spice it up I added some score lines around the square. They are pretty hard to see in the photo, boo.
I heat embossed my sentiment from happy everything in gold on a strip of vellum. The hearts were die cut using Lawn Fawn's Stitched Journaling Card. I coated them in Versamark and then gold embossing powder. BAM. gold embellishments!
Okie Dokie That's it for me :) Hope you have a wonderful Monday!

Kelly this is a SHOW-STOPPER! Your cards are few these days but they are totally worth waiting for!
