Hello Crafters!
It's been a minute since I blogged but I really have been crafting I promise :) In fact this whole week over at A Blog Named Hero the girls have been sharing Hero Arts and Lawn Fawn projects. These ladies are so talented. They never cease to blow me away!! If you haven't been stopping by the blog this week make sure you go back and see all the goods :)
For my card I was thinking Halloween . . .
I had the idea for the candy corn jar for a while. someone at Stamp Fever had the same idea :) Theirs is super cute!
I stamped my jar first on white and trimmed it out. I stamped the candy corn many many (many!) times and fussy cut them too. Next, I stamped the candy corn on 3 different pattern papers then paper pieced them and added them into my jar. I stamped the jar on some vellum, masking the bottom lines, and trimmed it out. The banner was stamped with the sentiment and trimmed out. How much fussy cutting do I do? Don't ask :)
Here's a close up of the candy corn
I colored the outside of the label orange with a copic to match all that pretty patterned paper. I stamped it a second time and trimmed out just the center. I added it to the first label with dimensional adhesive.
I colored the lid of the jar with a silver metallic marker.
I trimmed two pretty pattern paper banners from Into the Woods and adhered them flat to my card base. I added the jar on top with dimensional adhesive. I stamped the Ghost from Hero Arts Ghostly Greetings on some more pretty Lawn Fawn paper. Once I trimmed it out I added it with even more dimensional adhesive.
One ore fussy cut :) The bats were colored with copics and again added them so they are popped up. The bats and the label got a little bit of sparkle from stardust stickles.
I know I'm a day (or two eek!) late but I still wanted to share my card with you!
I hope your weekend was amazing. Thanks for stopping by!
