Happy New Year Crafters!
Are you ready to jump into 2014 feet first? I sure am, seriously like CANNONBALL :)
Do you have any new year resolutions? I do!
1. Go back to school. Master's degree here I come.
2. Deepen my relationship with God. Understand my Scripture better.
3. Volunteer more! Be more selfless and less selfish.
4. Run a marathon.
5. Actually LIVE my life. I'm tired of just existing.
I'd love to hear yours if you want share :)
Onto crafty things. Which I love and miss dearly.
It seems like every year November hits and then I'm blah. Hopefully I'll be back in full swing soon. You know what helps with that? Challenges!
For the first challenge of the year A Blog Named Hero has selected
You have to use 1 of something and 4 of another. I used 4 colors of markers and 1 color of glitter.
I started out by trimming a white panel and using it to build a background. I stamped the large hexagon in several directions covering the whole panel. Once that was done I colored using my Memento markers.
I adhered the panel to my card base and boxed it in with two blue strips. For the sentiment I have been loving all the "POW" superhero dies I've seen around. I'm sure that's not their actual name but that's what I call them. Anywho I don't have any (yet!) so I just created my own with a pencil and a ruler. I also backed it with more blue.
Once I had everything all glued down nice and neat I started with the glitter :) I coated all the blue with Stardust stickles. I love the glitter and the sentiment. The background I'm just meh about. What do you think? I love hearing your opinions!
Thanks for stopping by. Head over to A Blog Named Hero to see all the girls inspiration and enter yourself to win! As always there is a
to be won!
