Did I just make a card to just make a card?

Yes you read that right. I made a card for fun!

Holy smokes you guys, I haven't blogged in it seems like forever.
So let's play catch up for a minute :)

I'm still working, Thank God. I've kept my resolution to eat better and exercise more. My little fussy bucket is getting so big. He is almost 9 months now. Time has just flown by but I'm grateful the colic is over :)

Now for crafty things. I just haven't felt very inspired. Until last week. Yay! So this week I started checking out challenges and I found my favorite kind: a sketch!

Thank you Paper Smooches :)

Here is their sketch

Yep I can work with this!

Bam! Card for fun! and yes, I was thinking spring.

It was really simple but I love the way the tulips from Botanicals 1 turned out. I just colored them with Memento markers spritzed with water and stamped. Gorgeous water color effect :) For the bloom I used Rose Bud and Lilac Posies. The leaves are Pear Tart and Bamboo Leaves.

I pulled out some papers to match my color scheme, Green graph: Snippets by Studio Calico. Pink: Kneehighs from Basic Grey and that super fun stripe is an old collection by Crate Paper called Portrait. The perfect little sentiment comes from the Simply Said stamp set.

Here is hoping this mojo is here to stay, at least through summer anyway!

Thanks for stopping by. I hope to see a lot more of you in the near future.

xoxo

  1. Pretty card. Love how you have some shading in the leaves. Thanks for playing along with us at the Paper Smooches Sparks challenge.
