Hey, hey crafters!
Good morning to you! I hope you all are having a better week than me. It's been a rough one but I keep praying through it.
Today I wanted to pop in with another stencil card I created using the March kit from Gossamer Blue and a new Hero Arts stamp set I ordered :)
I used one of the neutral project life cards as my background. I seriously love those subtle polka dots! I created a little scene using Simon Says Stamp "Make a Scene" stencil. See what I did there? Scene . . scene hehe :) Anywho I used distress inks to lay down the color. Mustard seed, wild honey, broken china, and evergreen bough.
For the hot air balloon I paper pieced using the awesome papers included in the kit. I wanted the balloon to have a little more depth so I cut the pieces apart and inked them with worn lipstick before reassembling them. Once they were all trimmed out and put back together I added some stardust stickles. I capped the card off with a sentiment strip fro the kit after I trimmed one side into a banner.
I think it came out pretty cute if I do say so myself. I have a wonderful young lady in my life who is turning 13 and I thought this would be the perfect birthday card for her! Also I'm going to throw it in the hat for the anything goes birthday contest over at Hero Arts!
Don't forget you can take your stencils over and play along at A Blog Named Hero until tomorrow night. Who couldn't use $25.00 to Simon Says Stamp?
Thanks for stopping in!
XoXo

I really like how you've used the Scene stencil. And sponging the edges of the balloon pieces has a dramatic effect - lovely!
