KIS: Things with Wings

  Hello crafters!

I've got another card for you a little less under the wire tonight :)

Apparently while my mojo was on hiatus a lovely challenge blog cropped up. So tonight for the first time I am playing along with the Keep it Simple challenge and the theme you ask? Well it's Things with Wings.

Which means BUTTERFLY!

Oh Butterflies how I love you. What do I love even more than butterflies well rainbows :)

Since I finally bought new stamps I couldn't wait to try out the gorgeous outline butterfly from Hero Art's Butterfly clear set!

I stamped it twice and trimmed them out. I colored it with distress inks in my usual way ie. cut apart glue back together. Once it was colored I added a little body with a strip of black paper. The set has a body in it but there was no way of cutting out those cute little antennas.

I used the gray chevron I had laying on my desk from this card because I thought it would be the most adorable background. I cut a frame in my white panel before adding it to my card base with dimensional adhesive. The butterfly was added into the frame using more dimensional adhesive.

I added a strip of black to complete my visual triangle (black: body, sentiment, strip) and just a touch of stardust stickles. Done!

Thanks for dropping in!

XoXo
