Case This Sketch: Blue Skies Are Up Ahead

 Good evening Crafters!

How is your weekend going so far? I have to work but it's been beautiful weather so I guess it's okay :)

Today's card is for the current challenge over at Cas(e) This Sketch. It's a pretty simple one but I had a lot of fun with it!

I started by stamping the hexagons from  Lawn Fawn's Interlocking Backdrops in tuxedo black Memento ink. To color them in I used distress inks and an H20 pen. In order to get a good gradient I used the true color then for the next row I mixed it with the next color all the way down. I covered a few individual hexagons with stardust stickles too!

I stamped the clouds and balloon, also from Lawn Fawn, and colored them the same way. I love how distress inks blend without losing their color! So pretty :) The cloud tops and balloon were outlined with more stickles then I added the balloon with dimensional adhesive.

The sentiment was just stamped on white and trimmed into a banner.

Thanks for coming over! I hope you have a wonderful weekend :)

XoXo

  1. I adore this! I love how the blending of the yellow on the hot air balloon looks like the flame inside the balloon!!

  2. Kelly, this card is wonderful. I love your colour choices and how they fade to change then bring in the next colour. Perfect choices all round.
