Good Morning Crafters!
I'm here to share my card for two challenges. Normally I'm not into sharing challenges but sometimes it works out :)
First the theme of the card was decided by CAS-ology. There word is
Simon Says Stamp is challenging us to use stencils. There are going to be four hundred million entries into this challenge lol. Stencils are everywhere!
This card is completely outside of my box. There is are no bright colors or glitter. Shut up, I know right?!
I started by using Hero Arts/Basic Gray Leaf and Flourish stencil. I just recently bought embossing paste and this is the fist time I'm using it. I have to say it's pretty freaking awesome :) I thought it wasn't for me because I'm impatient and wouldn't want to wait for it to dry. Dude, it dries so fast. :)
I colored my white embossing paste with my distress ink reinker in spun sugar. I love how soft it came out.
I stamped the flower bouquet from Hero Arts/Basic Grey Once Upon a Time and heat embossed it in white. I used a H20 pen and distress inks to do some water coloring. I trimmed it out and adhered it with dimensional adhesive to my card base. The sentiment is from the same set and was heat embossed with silver metallic. It photographed terribly. In real life it's super shiny. I added it with more dimensional adhesive. Some pearls on the flowers finished it off.
Call me a traditionalist but I feel like anniversary/wedding cards should be soft and pretty and romantic. Maybe it's just me :)
Thanks for dropping in!
XoXo
