Rainbow Feathers

 Hello crafters!

It's been a long week already and it's only Wednesday! It might have something to do with the one year old who cried for two hours before finally passing out. Yeah, maybe that's it.

On a happier note I received a call on my job interview and they want to move to the next phase. Yay! I really hope this is the path God wants me to walk :)

Alright on to the card! You know I love rainbows. Love, love, LOVE them. I recently picked up Hero Arts Feathers set from A2ZScrapbooking and couldn't wait to use them. I also snatched up the matching dies because I love fussy cutting but even I'm not crazy enough to tackle feathers ha!

I started by rubbing some distress ink on a piece of white to create my rainbow. Once the distress inks were dry (I heated them to speed up the process) I stamped my large feather on top in clear and heat set it. I did the same with the small feather. After the embossing cooled I rubbed black soot distress ink over top to make the colors pop.

I really wanted to give the inlay die cutting a go and I thought these dies were perfect for it. I die cut the large feather out of a black cardstock. After I fit the large feather inside I die cut the second feather and fit in my brightly colored one. To complete the card I heat embossed the thank you from Messages with Flourish in white. Did I not tell you that set was going to get crazy amounts of use?! I love them so much! I adhered my black panel to a white card base with dimensional adhesive. Having that panel completely even makes embossing right over top of your die cutting so easy!

If you're interested in picking up either the stamps or the dies or both they are currently in stock at A2ZScrapbooking. You can get 15% off your order with the coupon code KELLYL15. Who doesn't like saving on Hero Arts stamps?!

Thanks for stopping over! I hope you have a wonderful week :)

XoXo
