Embossed Cas(e) This Sketch

 Hello Crafters!

Today was a little busy but I finally got to sit down with my cup of coffee to type this blog post. Hallelujah for coffee :)

Today I am playing along with Cas(e) This Sketch and Simon Says Stamp. Their current challenging is embossing. I use to avoid embossing challenges because, well, me and dry embossing don't mix well. However, now that I own some embossing paste I couldn't wait to play along!

Here is the sketch

and my take

I started by mixing white embossing paste with peacock feathers distress ink on my craft mat. I spread it on a white card panel. Once it was dry I trimmed the panel into two pieces to create my line.

The flower and leaves are from Hero Arts Dots and Flowers set. They were stamped and fussy cut, then colored with distress inks. Once I got the placement of the flowers set I stamped my sentiment which is from Hero Arts Hello Sunshine Daisies. I stamped right over the embossing paste not really knowing how it would work. It turned out fine but there wasn't a ton of embossing paste in that area.

I colored a piece of white cardstock with mustard seed distress ink and covered it in glitter. I adhered the yellow glitter strip to my card base then added the embossed panels with dimensional adhesive. I added the flower and then topped it off with some stardust stickles.

Thanks for visiting!

XoXo
