Hello crafters!
It's been a minute since I've blogged. I have been working on some projects but they are mostly for my design teams. Deadlines, deadlines :)
I had a bit of playtime last night and decided to play along with Lawnscaping's current challenge of watercoloring.
As most of you know I've only recently jumped on the watercolor band wagon. Since I have I've had the Lawn Fawn set Our Friendship Grows in mind. So glad I finally got to use it :)
I used distress inks and markers to stamp all my images onto watercolor paper. I did do some masking to get the images to layer how I wanted. I used mustard seed, vintage photo, tea dye, walnut stain, mowed lawn and broken china as my colors.
Originally I had intended to make it a one layer card but I didn't pre-stamp my sentiment and it was SO crooked. Let that be a lesson to me right?! Since I was already invested in the card I certainly wasn't going to pitch it! Enter the sentiment banner to save the day :)
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!
XoXo

SWOONING! The dimension of your watercoloring is fabulous. I particularly like the vase and shadow which grounds the whole composition. That third sunflower seems to be saying, " HEY!! I'm here too!"
