Hello crafters!
Like a lot of you I am taking the Stretch Your Stamps 2 online card class. I've been seeing everyone's interpretations of the lessons all over blog land and they are nothing short of fabulous!
If you've never taken a class 1. I highly recommend them and 2. they have a gallery for all those participating. I never, and I mean NEVER post anything in the gallery. I have taken 5 online card classes and I posted in the gallery of only one of them. Sad isn't it?
It's not that I don't want to share I just never seem to have the time when I'm taking a class. This time though, I was determined to share in the gallery. So here I am, sharing away!
I used a combination of the lessons taught in day one and two to create my card.
I started by embossing Hero Arts Four Leaf Grid background stamp onto water color paper with Versamark. I heat embossed in white and then used my inktense water color pencils to create the rainbow. That background was a busy little beaver so I decided to only use part of it.
After I cut it into a banner I die cut a circle. Since I'm neurotic about framing things in I added a white die cut circle around it. I just think it looks more finished or something :)
I die cut the you from Simon Says Stamp and used a sentiment that matches the die. it's from Expressions from you. I stamped the sentiment flat on my card base then added the banner with dimensional adhesive. The "you" got a healthy dose of glossy accents to really make it pop. Even though everything was shiny and glorious I still added little dots of stardust stickles in between the "leaves" of the stamp.
I'm pretty happy with the way it came. It looks like me you know?
Thanks for stopping in!
XoXo
