Fall or Christmas: A2ZScrapbooking

 Hello crafters!

Today we are starting a new challenge over at A2ZScrapbooking and it's a fun one because you get to choose :) Fall or Christmas.

So what was I feeling . . .
I'm not ready for either but since I HAD to choose I went with fall.

I used the stems and leaves from Dauber Bunch to create my very own tree. I used watercolor paper and distress inks. Dawn Woleslagle is always talking about giving "the illusion" of things which is what I tried to do with the grass although I'm not sure how successful that was. :) Guess I'll keep practicing!

Originally I wanted to do a bold black strip with the long sentiment underneath it but it just overwhelmed my watercolor image. Boxing it in worked much better and still leads the eye to sentiment. I should note that I stamped my sentiment in Versamark and heat embossed it in black. Sometimes I have a hard time getting a good impression with black ink on watercolor paper. User error no doubt!
It's hard to see in the photo but I added dots of stardust stickles to the bottom of each leaf.

I do hope you'll hop over to the blog and play along with us. You could win a $25.00 gift certificate to the store!! Whoop Whoop :)

Thanks for dropping by!

XoXo
