Lemon Lime Hello

  Hello crafters!

How are you all doing this morning? I hope well.
I am wonderful. Thank you all so much for the kind words on yesterday's post. I really appreciate the encouragement.

Yesterday before my shift ended we kind of had a dance party in the radio room. Ha! Yeah it happens :)

Four very manly cops and two dispatchers dancing around to Taylor Swift's Shake It Off while two of those very manly cops sang back and forth to each other. Hahaha! It was awesome!!
Haven't heard it yet? Let me fix that problem for you.

You too can shake it off!!

Now that we are all happy and seat dancing let's get to the card shall we?

During my recent shopping spree I finally picked up some Altenew stamps. Those Super Script stamps have been calling my name for quite some time along with the gorgeous Magnolias for Her!! Altenew announced their first ever challenge and I received my stamps in time to play along :)

Here is the inspiration photo

I loved the color combo, of course, and that gorgeous Moroccan pattern in the peeling wallpaper but what I was really drawn to was that button. Something about that black and silver just screamed USE ME!! USE ME!! So I did :)

I stamped the magnolia and colored it with copics. I only used two colors because I wanted to leave the tips white. The "leaves" were created with on the petals included in the set. I stamped the petal once. To get the leaf shape I flipped the stamped around and only inked the outside edge. Does that make sense?

The hello was stamped in black and then fussy cut out. I used my Moroccan stencil from Simon Says Stamp to create the pattern. I just traced it with a silver metallic pen. It's pretty hard to see the actual pattern but it's okay you get the general idea. or you don't. whatever. It's pretty.

I adhered the flower and leaves down to the card base and then popped the sentiment overtop with some very, very, very small pieces of dimensional adhesive. Yes that small. But totally worth it. Clean and simple and very button pattern like. YAY! I did add a miniscule amount of stickles to the where the petals curled but you really can't see it at all.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a blessed Sunday!

XoXo
