More Watercolor . . . I may have a problem

 Hello crafters!

How are you all doing tonight? I'm pretty good.
My days off rotate so eventually I get this awesome four day weekend that pops in out of no where. I just had that. It's awesome :)

Tonight I'm dropping by to share a card for the current Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge: Anything Goes
I absolutely love that they give us a chance to win just for playing.
Again, awesome :)

I also have more heat embossing watercoloring for you. I may need to find a twelve step program. It looks different every time and I'm completely captivated by it!

I stamped the butterfly trail from Flap Happy in a circle creating this little flourish design that I love. I don't normally "do" square cards but this just didn't look right as an A2.

After I had everything heat embossed in white I started adding distress inks. I didn't want the background to be completely white so I laid down clean water in a circle shape and then added bits of color only at the edge of each flourish. I felt like it needed more contrast so I added some detail dots using a black glaze pen.

The happy birthday is from their Sentiment Sampler and was heat set in white. I added little dots of stardust stickles after each line of black dots for my sparkle.

What do you think? too much sparkle? Not enough?

Thanks for visiting! I cannot tell you how much I appreciate you all!

XoXo

  1. Kelly,

I love it because it is unique, and frankly I don't see a whole lot that is different out there. Don't get me wrong, there are so incredibly talented people making cards, and crafting in general, but especially with a trend like watercoloring, people tend to do the same things over and over. This is really different. I like the stamp you chose, the way you chose to add the color and you added just enough sparkle and black pen to make thing pop and keep it interesting. Great job!
