A2ZScrapbooking October Challenge

 Hello Crafters!

Good Morning and Happy October!
Just to be clear I am not happy it's October but I hope you are.

New challenges ease the pain a bit and today A2ZScrapbooking is announcing the challenge for October. It's super simple and you can win a $25.00 gift card to the store. Ready?

You must use two Hero Arts hard products. This means stamps, stencils, but not inks and stains. Not that you can't use them too. I did!

Kelly Latevola You and Your Big Dreams

I used a Hero Arts/Basic Grey set called Sweet Wishes. They such adorable images in this set. The tag has it's own sentiment but I wanted to use the "Make A Wish" so I just masked it before I inked up my stamp. Remove the mask and you stamp a plain tag. Yeah! I colored in the outline with a black marker so it would stand out against my background.

Speaking of background I used the Hero Arts Numbers Background stencil with the Neon Red ink. I love the Neon Line from Hero Arts. I have ALL the colors. Me and my brights what can I say? If you're interested in picking this one up now is the time it's currently on sale for $4.00 in the store  . . .in fact so is the stencil I used. I think it's a perfect background for a birthday card!

I stamped the cupcake twice. Once in Neon Red and once in Charcoal Shadow ink. I cut out the whole cupcake in charcoal and just the top in the red. I covered the top in glitter. Every cupcake needs accessories!! Unfortunately, it obscured the cute little smiley face quite a bit. White enamel accents to save the day! Um, if you decide to use enamel accents over glitter wait until it's dry or they make friends. Okay it's more of a friends with benefits kind of way i.e. they are all over each other. .It's a mess! Ironically, friends with bennies usually is too! Hahaha!

I loved the sentiment but it originally comes with a dot border and  I wanted a cleaner look so after stamping it I just trimmed it off. I wanted the background to have a little more interest so I trimmed a piece out of the side and added grey underneath. More stickles :) The whole panel was mounted on dimensional adhesive.

I hope you'll head over to the blog to play along. If you decide you just have to have something from the store please use the code KELLYL15 and save yourself 15% off your purchase of $25.00 or more :)

I hope to see your project in the gallery!
Thanks for stopping in!

XoXo
