Hello Crafters!
I'm posting today for a very special reason. See remember on Thanksgiving when I was posting about how amazing and generous the crafty community is?
About a month ago when I first introduced you guys to CASEing Genius I shared that I was totally crushing on Peerless Watercolors. Shortly after that post I got an email from the amazing Joan who volunteered some of her own Peerless for me to try. What in the WHAT?! Yes, you read it right. She sent me a rectangle of every color so I could try them. Talk about generous!!
I have been trying for the past month to make a card that I felt Joan would love. It never exactly worked out. Joan is a bright colored minimalist. She makes deliriously incredible things and I ohh and ahh over her blog on the regular. Feeling like you need some happy inspiration? Head over to her blog, I make I talk. You won't be disappointed. I finally came up with something that I hope Joan will love even though it might be a little more color than she would do. In fact she recently did some watercolor with very little color and each one is AMAZing!! You can see them here.
Joan this is your warning if you want to be surprised flee now!!! :)
I wet my paper with clean clear water and then just added color in a rainbow pattern. After each color I splattered some around before cleaning my brush. That's it. No, really. The water and those vibrant Peerless colors did all the work. I adore them. I crazy googley eyed super make my heart pitter patter love them. I will be buying them for sure.
I wanted the watercolor to be the star so I just die cut Simon Says Stamp's Thanks from it. I cut about 6 more from black and put them back together. Add some stardust stickle dots and enamel dots and call it done.
Thanks again Joan for being such a wonderful generous kind friend. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it!!
and thank you for coming to visit. I appreciate that too :)
XoXo
