Happy Birthday Cupcake

 Hello Crafters!

How's the weekend going?

Pretty good here. Worked and I'm popping in quick before we are off to my sister-in-laws birthday dinner.

Usually, I try to stick to the same company when I make my cards. I realize this isn't necessary but my OCD brain insists that I don't mix and match. Until today, and I kinda like it :)

When I saw The Card Concept inspiration photo it made me think of these adorable little cupcakes I had from A Day For Daisies.

But then once I had them all colored up I really wanted to die cut them and then the sentiment font I wanted was another company  .and  . .and  . .and the sky didn't fall and the planets stayed in orbit and I like the card :)

Hopefully you do too.

I cupcakes are each individual stamps. Aren't they darling?! I super love them. Since I'm adding polka dots to everything lately it was pretty easy to fulfill the terms for the current A Day For Daisies Challenge so I'm entering it there too.

Copic Colored and then I added some extra stripes, and polka dots, and lace because I can't just leave anything alone. I die cut the Happy from Simon Says Stamp through the middle and popped it up on 5 layers of light pink. I chose to make pink my "gallon" color since it's the dominant color in the inspiration photo. I stamped a simple Birthday from Create A Smile's 29 again and called it done.

While I'd love to stay and chat I can hear my kid having an epic meltdown. Since the hubby has been here with him all day I fear alone I'm scared he could lose it. and really it was a lot of work to get him to 2 years old so I'm not ready to throw in the towel yet.

Have a good day!

XoXo

  1. Awesome! Your coloring looks fantastic and good for you for stepping out of your comfort zone in using different company products on one card. Hope your kiddo settled down and your hubby got a bit of a break. :)
