Sweet Easter Dress

  Hello Crafters!

I'm a little late with today's post. If you follow me on instagram you know it's because I was too busy making pancakes for my little man and painting my nails ha! The other less glamorous things I did this morning include cleaning my kitchen and dining room. Mind you the entire time I dusted Nathan stood next to me and said "Phew. phew." Apparently, he does not think pledge smells clean. :)

We're starting a new challenge over at Lia Stampz. Just add some ribbon to your card and you could win a $10.00 gift certificate to the store.

Before we get to the card I have to tell that this card is for Easter. Yes, I know Easter is over but  . . .I really thought the Little Ana stamp was perfect for my God-daughter's Easter card.

See I bought her this dress for Easter

I really wanted to recreate it for her card.

I'm kind of said she is almost the same color as her dress but there wasn't anything I could do about it. It is what it is. I colored her with copics and popped her up on a tag. The sentiment is from a Clearly Besotted.  I wanted a pretty green background to go with it but I didn't have anything that matched so I drew it. Using a Memento marker in Bamboo Leaves I drew the same gingham pattern from yesterday's card. I love the way it turned out.

I added a ribbon bow to the top of my tag. By looking at this you would never know I have a disgusting amount of ribbon in my craft room. I never use it. It's shameful.

A friend pointed out that Simon Says Stamp is holding a "Make Your Own Background" challenge Since I did draw my background I'm entering that.

Thanks for dropping in! We hope to see you over at the Lia Stampz blog playing along!!

XoXo

  8. Kelly, I was admiring your little girl and that beautiful dress, but then I noticed the beautiful background. I thought it was hand-drawn, and then I thought there was no way anyone would hand draw that pattern, and then I read that you DID draw that awesome background! Amazing!
