Hello Crafters!
So God is always good but sometimes life is crappy. Pretty poetic I know. I might put it on a T-shirt. Nathan is still rocking the "I hate sleep unless you're here to watch me sleep" phase. Tonight he only cried for 30 minutes before falling asleep instead of an hour so I'm going to say we're winning. Even if the wins are like chewing broken glass. In addition, our hot water tank crossed over to the other side. The hubs and my father-in-law spent a good portion of the day removing/installing aforementioned tanks. I'm grateful we can afford a new one even if it wasn't exactly what we were saving for. Silver lining people.
On a happier note it was beautiful today so we got to take Nathan outside to play. Man, that kid loves bubbles. Also, he's a very friendly neighbor. He said "Hi!" and "Bye!" to every car that drove by. Stuff like this makes the demon screaming bearable.
Today's card was made for a friend of mine whose been having a hard time lately. Motherhood is always trying no matter what age they are and I thought she could use the reminder that she is incredible. We can all use that reminder on occasion can't we?
I used the color's from the current challenge at The Card Concept to do some watercoloring. I waited to the last minute to post because I was hoping my friend would get it before I posted it. Hopefully it's in her mailbox today!
Here's the colors:
Aren't they beautiful spring colors? Love them!!
I stamped Altenew's Persian Motif's in Versamark on watercolor paper then heat embossed in white. I used a couple of different colors of Peerless watercolors to get the colors I wanted. I find watercoloring much less stressful when I have an embossed outline to work with. How about you?
I wanted a finished edge so I cut the panel down using Simon Says Stamp's Stitched Rectangles. The sentiment is from the same set and it was also heat embossed in white on some vellum. I wrapped it around my watercolor panel and tapped it in the back before adding my whole panel to a white card base with dimensional adhesive.
Thanks for visiting, your comments and encouragement mean so much to me!!
XoXo
