Vellum Magnolias

  Hello Crafters!
How are you today?
I am wonderful. I am so completely blown away by the response to yesterday's card. You guys are  incredibly awesome!! Thank you so much for your sweet and encouraging comments. They truly mean so much to me <3.
Today's card is using the current CAS(E) this Sketch and the lovely color combo is from Simon Says Stamp's Flickr challenge.

Before we get to the card  I have to warn you the "area" of the card got a little out of hand. While I did mange to keep it mostly to the bottom of the card it's much larger than the sketch

I got crazy with the water colors lol. I used distress ink and a paintbrush to drop color in where I wanted. You're looking at Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn, and Salty Ocean here. After it was dry I attached some Altenew Magnolias heat embossed on vellum in white. I just added small dots along the embossing to attach it.
I used my MISTI to stamp the sentiment from Simon Says Stamp's Beautiful set. The card base is actually a cool gray but with the magic of photography it looks black. Lame, but there isn't anything I can do about :/ My last step was to mix some water with a bit of perfect pearls and splatter it on. It takes a minute to dry on the vellum but if you are patient it will dry and it looks uber cool.

Here's a close up

Shim, shim, shimmery!

Alright folks I'm off to bed. It's night shift this week and I'm already up too late/early.

Thanks for stopping by to visit!!

XoXo

But THIS, holy swear word, sister, this is my new fave, not just of yours, but of all of Blogland!! Cripes, but you are so incredibly talented, Kelly! I know someday you will be selling your art on canvas and holding gallery shows! I bow!! Hugs, Darnell

Those vellum flowers are the star of the show but they get a little usurped b the hauntingly amazing and beautiful watercolor behind them that is so spot on with its' randomness and splatters!! So amazing and I agree about your ARTISTIC status - you truly create stunning masterpieces!!
