Happy Flamingos

 Hello Crafters!

Today is the start of a new challenge over at A Day For Daises
This time we are using feathers.

This image is called Flamingo Couple. Are they not the cutest couple ever. I couldn't resist using my copics to color their outfits to look like a bride and groom.

I dug around in my stamps for some feathers and came back with this Hero Arts set. I stamped them in Versamark on watercolor paper and then heat set them in white. I used my Zig Clean Color markers to add the color before blending them with marker. Originally, my ombre background faded to white but a crafty suggested I add a bit of black for some contrast. I couldn't get it any darker than this. Man, these Zigs run like crazy with water!

No big shock, I kept my card pretty simple. I colored up my flamingos and outlined them with a multiliner. I decided it would be a bit of fun to die cut them onto a tag to add them onto the card. I cut a second tag out of vellum and then tied them together with some gray twine. The white panel was mounted onto my card base with dimensional adhesive for a bit more interest.

I hope you'll hop over and play along. Their is always a freebie to use for an entry to win 4 images of your choice.!

Thanks for visiting!

XoXo

  1. Oh WOW!! I love that ombre background-I know what you mean about how these markers love the water!! I have to let it dry in between when I put too much on. Those flamingoes are adorable in their wedding attire. I love how you made it into a tag. Wonderful card design.
