WPlus9 Release Week Day 2: Going Places

  Hello Crafters!

It's day two of the WPlus 9 release week and we're only just getting starting!

Did you hop around and visit all the girls yesterday? This team blows me away every time. Their projects were amazing!

For today's post I'm using the new Going Places and I cannot even tell you how adorable these little guys are. Gah! So. Cute.

With my first card I layered up lots of white. I used the scalloped panel die from Sunshine layers and die cut the rainbow from the same die set.  I colored the rainbow with copics really simply with just two colors. I cut the large and small cloud from the Going Places Companion die. I tucked the larger cloud behind the rainbow for a bit of fun. I used a small paint brush to add some shimmer spray onto the clouds and rainbow. It's not new but it is amazing. I nearly dug through someone's cleavage for some once . . .but that's another story . . .

I stamped the sweet pup from the set, colored him up, and fussy cut him out. I let him "hang over" the edge of my sentiment banner which I heat embossed in white. A few clear rhinestones and a strip of black and white stripes finished the card off. I love having a bright focal point on so much white!

For my next card I really wanted to see if these cute guys knew how to party nothing's worse than a good looking date with no personality ;)

Guess what? They totally get down :)
I stamped out all the little cutie pies and colored them up with my copics. I also stamped the present and cupcake. I love tiny images. That cupcake ...swoon.
I used the hats and balloon from the Unforgettable set to set up the rest of the card. Dawn left a hole in the balloon which makes it vary easy to manipulate the balloon into another shape like the oblong balloon on the left.

I wanted a gradient background so I used my blending tool to rub on Falling for Blue, Last Leaf, and Hayride Pure Color Inks. They blend so easy! I felt like Laura Bassen for one half of a second!  I used the Gift Card Layers die to make a frame for my critters to pop out of. I used the actual gift card holder portion to add a bit of detail to the corners. The white panel was added with dimensional adhesive then I tucked my animals in with more dimensional adhesive. The last detail I added was the tiny bows and strings for the balloons.

The sentiment is from the Wishing you set which I'll be using more of later this week!

Thanks for dropping over!
I hope you'll go visit the rest of the team and see their genius :)
