Create A Smile: September Release

  Hello Crafters!

 

This week is super exciting because it's release week for Create A Smile!

Christine is releasing 3 sets and all of them are fabulous.

 

Today I'm using the new Time for Thanks set which has bunches of beautiful leaves!

 

 

Even though I'm in denial Fall is on the way I just couldn't help but watercolor these gorgeous guys in autumn colors.

 

I stamped and masked three of the leaves using WPlus9 Pure Color Black ink because it is waterproof. After the stamping was done I used my Peerless Watercolors for this one. I love how bold they are!!

 

I worked on each individual leaf being careful not to work on two that touched. If you touch wet to wet it makes everything run together. . . then disaster.

 

 

After the leaves were dry I flicked on some spatters of each color just to add a bit of interested. I used warm gray Copic markers to add some shadows to the leaves. I wanted them to look like they were all in a pile :)

I heat set the Thanks sentiment from the same set in white on some warm gray cardstock. I think maybe it's Co'ordinations . . maybe? Anyway, a few sequins in orange, clear and gold finished it off.
