Hello Crafters!
Today I'm sharing a video not only showcasing the beautiful new Murali stamp from Whimsy Stamps but also showing you how I cheated to get my background.
From the moment I opened the package I saw this beautiful girl's refection in water and I knew I wouldn't be able to make another card with her until I had at least tried. Fortunately, it worked out on the first try. Little victories I tell you.
I included all of the coloring because I wanted you to be able to watch it all if you wanted to but I only talk through the watercolor portion and the details on the card.
Yay for leftover packaging! Also, I keep the same piece. You can just clean it off with a cloth/baby wipe/cotton pad and some alcohol. After that it's good as new.
Don't forget there is still time to win some Whimsy Cash during the release! It's open until noon on January 18th. All the details here.
Thanks for visiting me!

ReplyDeleteSimply stunning Kelly!
ReplyDeleteI notice you leave your brushes in the water. You may want to just lay them down on your craft mat (or other surface). Leaving them in the water ruins them. Your round brushes should have a nice straight point. I use The Masters Brush Cleaner and Preserver to keep them in shape when stored (and to clean them before storing). You can get it at an art supply store (e.g. Blick).
