April Release with Create A Smile

Hello Crafters!

Today we are showcasing the newest release from Create A Smile! There are so many wonderful images and dies coming out. You're going to love 'em!

I chose to work with Aloha Spirit because, well, flowers. Enough said. There's actually 5 flowers in this set . . .

This almost looks like a branch of leaves but it's actually a tropical ginger.
If you search for Red Ginger or Pink Cone Ginger there's all kinds of photos. That's where I went to find my inspiration.

I started by stamping the ginger flower in Copic safe ink then masked and stamped to build up my focal point. I colored it with Copic markers and added a shadow to help it jump off the page.

I actually shot video for this but haven't had time to edit it. Maybe tonight. Fingers crossed.

Hey guess what? It worked out. Christmas miracle.

I stamped the sentiment and then accented it with some pretty gold sequins.

I hope you'll head over to Create A Smile to see the full release and tons more inspiration!
Thanks for dropping in!

  5. Kelly this is just beautiful. Probably one of my top 5 favorites. The color combination is stunning, and the tiny white dots add such texture. Looking forward to the video later today.

  10. Simply beautiful! I'm a new follower of yours and am always blown away by your talent.

FYI, my parents are both from Hawaii so I am so excited by this stamp and have already ordered it. But I believe the picture that you chose and the stamp are actually plumerias linked together to make a lei and not a red ginger flower which is good because plumerias come in more combination of colors. Either way your work is fantastic!

  11. Kelly,
I've loved watching your videos for awhile and just subscribed. You make Copic coloring look so easy and I'm just beginning. I learn so much from your videos and great explanations of why you do things.
