Hello Crafters!
How have you been?
No really. How are you?
It's the end of summer for us and that means super busy crazy hectic schedules.
Not to mention it's been super hot and humid amidst all this running around.
Can you say hello lion hair?
ugh.
One of the busy things (in a good way) we have going on is planning an end of summer camping trip.
Hmmm Camping. Didn't I say in my last post that I would have a camping scene card soon?
I believe I did. AND I'm actually going to deliver.
Christmas Miracle.
Are these camping stamps completely adorable or what?!
I'm mean seriously if you can't see how endearing these guys are this is not the blog for you.
You should go. No hard feelings.
For those of you who speak my darling critter language please grab a cup and settle in. It's video time and we are talking directional lighting. How you can do directional lighting.
Yes, you.
Stop looking around.
I told you those shadows. BAM. World of difference.
I absolutely love doing these scenes. Cute seems to be super on trend right now and I'm more than happy to embrace all the delightful little scenes they allow me to make.
Obligatory close up. You're welcome.
So what do you think? Ready to give it a go?
If it seems a bit overwhelming no worries. You do NOT need to do a scene this elaborate.
Start small. But give it a try. I have faith in you ;)

ReplyDeleteKelly, I loved your post of flowers for Simon. I would be happy with just the watercolor. Lovely card.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the wonderful video and all the coloring tips you gave. Your card is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love this card!I started following you a couple of weeks ago, and I have loved every video that I have watched made by you.You are so good at explaining every detail and how to do it. I think you are the best person on YouTube for teaching people how to color. You do such a great job at explaining what you do and why you do it. You make it seem so easy because of the way you explain it.I have learned more in the past couple of weeks watching you than I have in the past six months of watching other people.Thank you for sharing your knowledge of coloring, and you are so funny to listen to. I love it.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, the best compliment ever is that you're learning. Thank you so much for your kind words :)
